The first distillery in
Scotland to turn "legal" in 1824, Glen Livet distillery lies in
the valley through which Livet runs. The founder George Smith, was a
swashbuckling character who carried a couple of hair-trigger pistols with
him to protect himself from local whisky smugglers. This is one of
Scotland's finest and most highly regarded malts which captures the
essence of a true Speyside whisky.

| Tasting Note: | This incredibly rare and rich example of the original Speyside oozes style and class. The nose is honeyed and floral leading to a firm and spicy mid palate - thick and opulent. a wonderful dry finish with hints of smoke last long after it has departed. This is Glenlivet at its finest. | |
