Some background:

The most northerly of Scotland's distilleries, located in Kirkwall the capital of the Orkney Islands. The distillery produces it's own heavily peated malt on traditional floors, giving that unique, much celebrated Island taste, in 1919 the Imperial German High Seas Fleet scuttled their entire navy in Scapa Flow. Take a lead from German High Command and sink a few drams of this wonderful malt.

Tasting Note: The colour shows that this Highland Park has spent it's short life in Sherry casks and this is played out on the nose. A wonderful combination of the sweet sherry mingling with the gentle peat and briny character. A thick texture with lots of chewy honeyed fruit and a lingering finish.
