Tasting Note

 Colour: Bright bronze.  Rich russet.
Body: Wow!!  A real handsome highlander.  This is a red headed Celt and kilted with massive concentrated power – full bodied with armour.
Nose/Palate: The hallmark of Speyside is in abundance, multi-layered and decadent, with honeyed fruit and oak.  This is a wake up call to the olfactory senses.  Even at this age it shows no signs of tiring.  I love the toasted oak and rich dark minty syrup aromas all under-pinned by the sweetness of the slowly distilled spirit .  Superb.

The complete palate experience for balance, integrated  with  flavour.  This malt has it all.  Thanks both to the quality of casks and skills of the men at this unique distillery we can enjoy something really special.  The flavour of rich coffee, vanilla, spirit and passion fruit wraps around the tongue, giving a mouthful that is both satisfying and generous.  A beautiful dram.

Finish:

Simultaneously complete and compelling.  Completely blew me out of the water and should not be missed.
