Perched at the foot of the iconic Ben Rinnes Mountain, at Speyside’s heart, lies the revived Glenallachie Distillery. Historically, this malt is used exclusively for blending. Today, this desirable spirit is once again celebrated in its pure form – a victory for the lovers of single malt Scotch whisky. This hearty Speysider has matured in a combination of Sherry casks for just over a decade. Originally filled into a single 600-litre Sherry butt, our Whisky Creations Team then matured this spirit in two freshly emptied Pedro Ximénez hogsheads. After one year, the casks were reunited – a harmony of quality Spanish oak and fine Scottish spirit.
