Our much-loved Peatside is back with a fruity twist. Previously, our peated malts journeyed to maturity in bourbon barrels from America, fortified wine casks from Madeira and Pedro Ximènez Sherry butts from Spain. This year, we have selected two wine barriques, previously holding the rich, fruity national drink of Portugal – Port. When selecting young whisky, it’s vital we use characterful malt and the freshest of casks. Yet again, our Whisky Creations Team have created a brilliantly bold balance, showcasing the relationship between malt, peat and oak –a joyous celebration of youth!
